TRIMARAN 50' Year 1990
Originaly built as a 53' trimaran for Pascal Hérold according to the plans of Nigel Irens at the Seatec yard in La Trinité sur Mer, this boat was shortened to 50'. Multihulls specialists as Mike Birch and Halvard Mabire overlooked the construction to insure the strenght and velocity.Since 1992 to 2004, the maintenance has been done by the well known Walter Greene's yard (specialist in racing multihulls) Green Marine, Maine, USA. Continually upgraded, this boat is still very competitive.
Owner's words
After more than 10 years racing (Ostar, Transat Jacques Vabre...), first on a Open 50' and then on this 50' trimaran, I just accomplished a fast 2 years around the world trip by the Panama canal with this trimaran. As I want to be more comfortable to travel now, my choice will go to an aluminium monohull to go on sailing around the world.
