OVNI 395 Year 2011
Designed by Philippe BRIAND and built in Vendée by the reknown Alubat shipyard, the OVNI 395 the most sold aluminium 40 footer: 100 units were built and sold 5 years only after the model was launched. This reasonable size aluminium sloop can easily be managed by a short handed crew of two and she displays two nice cabins, three additional berths in the saloon and a nice living space. This particular unit was launched in 2011. She was equipped and modified by Alubat for her first and only owner to be secure and reliable, water and electricity self sufficient, but also comfortable.
Owner's words
This was our choice; an OVNI 395 with two cabins and a large technical part at te starboard aft. We have been checking the whole building process and had her transported to Geneva on the Léman lake. In June 2012, transportation to Port Camargue and then, we depart to Turkey (Corsica, Sardinia, Corinthian chanel) near Izmir. The ship stayed in Turkey, in and out the water, depending on the period. At summer 2015, we decided to sail from Turkey (Greece, Albania, Montenegro, Croatia, Sicily, Italy, Malta, Balearic Islands, Spain, Morocco...) to the Canarias and aimed at crossing the Atlantic. Unfortunately, our health does not allow us to sail further and we have to change our way of life and to sell this boat we have been loving so much.
