OVNI 35 Year 1983
The OVNI 35, designed by Philippe BRIAND and built in 56 units by the Alubat shipyard in Vendée, is a success in terms of habitability and efficiency under sail. Ideal for a couple wishing to sail far afield, it can also accommodate a family in its two double cabins and convertible saloon (one double and one single berth). This carefully maintained owner's unit has benefited from numerous improvements and upgrades throughout her life: standing rigging 2022, mainsail 2023, full paint + cockpit teak + gantry 2016... As a professional skipper working mainly on aluminum sailboats, I acquired this OVNI 35 on a whim. The previous owners sailed her for 4 or 5 weeks a year, and stored her ashore, unarmed, for the rest of the year. They had taken great care to maintain her to a very high standard, so she was in an impressive state of preservation, just waiting to be put to sea again. After a few technical upgrades (NKE electronics and pilot, mainsail and standing rigging, Refleks diesel stove, deckhouse insulation), she is now ready to accompany you on your off-the-beaten-track voyages.
