LEVRIER DES MERS 14 M Year 1988
Built in aluminum by LE GUEN-HEMIDY, this UDLB design by Jean-Marie FINOT, precursor of the Lévrier des Mers series, was inspired by the fast "Open" type hulls of the time. Its three-cabin layout and clear deck plan make it both comfortable and fast, easy to handle with a small crew. Maintained with passion by an owner concerned about the safety of the ship and its crew, this fast and seaworthy sailboat is in a very correct technical condition for her age and the hull (pearl grey polyurethane bi-component - 2022) and deck (anti-skid and epoxy primer + paint - 2019) paintings are recent and in good condition.
Owner's words
I bought this beautiful aluminum sailboat through AYC in early 2011 in the Mediterranean. I sailed her from the Mediterranean to the West Indies, then after a crew change (some had to get back to work...) from the Caribbean to Tahiti, then from Tahiti to Auckland, then from Auckland to Fiji (double-handed) and finally from Fiji to Noumea.
In short, a lot of miles, always with three people aboard, where we rarely put the autopilot: the boat is so well balanced that we had a lot of fun at the helm, and the autopilot, who works very well and not much, was only used under engine due to lack of wind, the rainy days or the coffee breaks. On each crossing, we kept an average of more than 8 knots. If you wish, I can take her to any destination you wish, depending on my schedule of course.
