META JPB 47 Year 1996
This nice centerboarder on a Jean-Pierre BROUNS design, twin engines and twin rudders, built by the Meta shipyard just comes back from a 4 years loop around the Americas with a family aboard (Northwest passage, Polynesia, Patagonia and back to France). Insulated and heated, strong and reliable, prepared for all destinations, she can sail both cold and hot weathers due to her deckhouse which aft rigid part can be removed and stored aboard. 6 bunks including 4 single ones, a large saloon and a simple way to manage the ship and her maintenance make this sailboat the perfect one to sail the world with a family aboard.
Owner's words
We immediately thought this ship was the perfect one for us, but we also wanted to add a strong and welcoming deckhouse to fit our project. We have been living aboard during 4 years, sailing with our family around the Americas and making our project come true. We have never been surprised by the ship's behaviour, never disappointed by the comfort aboard and we also always felt secure while sailing or at anchor. This Meta 47 is a sound and strong sailboat you can rely on in evry situation. Despite she is comfortable, she remains simple and easy to sail and to maintain, welcoming and secure. If we could, we would leave again to sail the world following the same way, but the children grow up and they now need more social interactions. We would like to sell our ship to whom would like to enjoy an exciting blue water cruising.
