AKILARIA 40 Year 2011
Designed by Marc Lombard and built by vacuum injection at the MC-Tec yard, the Akilaria 40 is one of the Class 40 leader boats. This RC2 version obtains good results in races like "la Route du Rhum", "La Transat Jacques Vabre", "Québec-Saint Malo", an on the Class 40 specific racing program. This nice unit is now racing the 2014 Route du Rhum and she is a nice sailboat to race and have fun.
Owner's words
As I really love single-handed racing, I entered the Class'40 game, which allows to sail fast and to have a lot of fun for a correct budget. Monotype racing is really interesting and after a Pogo 40, I had this Akilaria 40 built in Tunisia, in her "Tour du Monde" version, for this new sailboat to be strong, fast and reliable while sailing offshore. All those requirements are fullfilled, she is really fine tuned, reliable and ready to race.
