LEVRIER DES MERS 16 M Year 1990
She is an excellent aluminium ULDB designed by the FINOT design company and built by Le Guen & Hemidy in Carentan near Cherbourg / France. The center saloon layout allows to display a more conventional 3 cabins layout than on the Cigale 16, this ship remaining easy to handle for a short handed crew and even solo as well as efficient, fast and seaworthy under sails. Her winged keel with with a 2m draft (only) allows an easy access to most of the good moorings. We saw her refit in Port St. Louis du Rhone in 2015/16 and due to what was done then and afterwards, we can state that she is ready to sail again. Perfect for a family life aboard.
Owner's words
I really fell in love with this ship and bought her in 2019. Unfortunately, I was not in a position to sail at that time and not in the mood to sell her. I left her attended by the former owner, an experienced professional skipper who manages the ship for me since then (service and maintenance). The ship had been rebuilt in 2015/16 for a family trip and finally sailed only two years since then. Plenty of comfort equipments, a nice and seaworthy behaviour under sails and real sailing sensations. It is your turn now.
