CIGALE 16 Year 2001
Jean-Marie FINOT designed a blue water cruising ULDB with ballasts and bulb keel, carefully built in aluminium by ALUBAT. 3 cabins version, insulated and heated, upgraded to sail the most extreme latitudes. Three periods of refit in 2007, 2012 and from 2019 to 2021 with a lot of changes and upgrades make this unit a perfect ship to sail the world and ready to start now, perfect for your long trips projects. Easy to live both at anchor and while sailing with her great aft saloon, she is a (very) fast ship, elegant and in a perfect general condition.
Owner's words
We bought this Cigale 16 in 2009. She had just crossed-back the ocean after a large South Atlantic turn by the Cape Horn and the Antarctic. When we sttled aboard and crossed the Atlantic to the Caribean Sea, our project was to turn around the world and come back to the Mediterranean aboard this ship we had been dreaming of for such a long time. Once we reached the Central America, some works concerns forced us to come back to Europe. After a little grounding with absolutely no structural consequences, we decided to get her ashore to check this and to offer her a refit and make her ready and go again as soon as the Covid was over. Then we decided to downsize and to sell this perfect ship to go and sail absolutely anywhere with a family crew.
