CATANA 39 Year 1989
This Lock Crowther design, very well built as usual when the Catana yard produce boats, is a nice example of daggerboards catamaran, fast, practical and comfortable. Completely checked by the Pinta yard in La Rochelle in 2004 with new engines and a new forward beam reinforced with a compression pole, this owner unit launched in 1989 was given a pair of new sails in 2011 and a quite important electronics upgrade. The outside looking is not perfect but the whole boat is in a good general condition and able to sail now.
Owner's words
I bought this Catana 39 in 2010 from her first owner who used her from her first launching in 1989 until 2004, when the boat was taken out in La Rochelle for a refit. From 2005 to 2010, the ship did not sail a lot. I upgraded the sails and the electronics during the time I have been sailing. After I had a lot of fun aboard this wonderful catamaran, some health concerns prevent me to go and travel as I had planned, and I am now forced to sell this boat before I achieve this dream.
