Acclaimed by the press from the moment she was launched, the Iroise 48 marks Bord à Bord's renewal in the design and construction of beautiful aluminum sailing yachts. According to the Breton shipyard, a cruising sailboat must be safe and comfortable, but it must also be enjoyable under sail and deliver good sailing performances. The choice of the twin-keel design (reliability of fixed appendages, lower ballast = limited displacement of 13.2T, beaching possible and reasonable draught in relation to performance) goes against the trend for the centerboarders, while retaining the possibility of beaching.
