CACHOEIRA 44 Year 1993145 000 € VAT paid
This sturdy aluminum ocean-going centerboarder with interior wheelhouse and deck saloon, designed/built by Jean-François ANDRE, sailed with her builder to Polynesia, where she met her current owners in 1997. After a round-the-world trip, including 3 years in the Deep South, she has proven her ability to travel. Built in semi-thick aluminum on a traditional structure, this is the first of a series of 4, the second of which was sailed solo by Mike Horn around the North Pole on the Arktos Expedition. Equally at home in hot or cold conditions, with her central Dickinson stove, serious insulation, interior wheelhouse and large cockpit.
Owner's words
Cachoeira is an excellent blue water cruiser, designed to cope with all sea conditions. 24 years on board (Pacific, Indonesia, Indian Ocean, Red Sea, Mediterranean, South Atlantic, Patagonia, Antarctica, Pacific), including three years sailing in the deep south (below 50°), have confirmed her comfort and safety in extreme conditions. We're getting on in years, and the time has come to hand over to a new crew.
